Roadworks return to Ruddington in 2023 – including further disruption and delays likely along Loughborough Road, Flawforth Lane and Kirk Lane this month.
On the weekends of Saturday & Sunday 7th & 8th January, 14th & 15th January and Saturday 21st January four-way temporary traffic lights will be in use A60 Loughborough Road/Mere Way/Yarrow Drive roundabout whilst Great British Telecommunications excavates for a telegraph pole with associated cabinet and ducting from 8.00am to 6.00pm each day.
Then on Wednesday 11th January between 09.30am and 3.30pm a post replacement is planned by Via East Midlands on Flawforth Lane, near Mill Lane, meaning two-way temporary signals will be needed to control traffic.
From Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th January gas work by Cadent will mean two-way traffic signals along Kirk Lane, too.
Looking ahead to March 2023, carriageway patching is due to begin on various streets around Ruddington’s eastern estate. Road closures and parking restrictions are scheduled as follows:-
- Abingdon Drive: 9th – 16th March
- Upper Cannan: 17th-22nd March
- Lower Canaan: 23rd – 24th March
- Woodley Street: 27th – 31st March
Residents and visitors should anticipate delays and diversions for motorists, and also for passengers using Kinchbus 9, Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 & Green 10/10C/10X buses and the NottsBus Connect Service 863 during these roadworks.
Looking ahead to next year, National Highways has announced the long planned major roadworks to enlarge both the Nottingham Knight Island and Wheatcroft Island on the A52 should begin in September 2024. Find more details >>HERE<<.
